Abstract
In this podcast we explore the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and humanity. Drawing from pop culture, including the movie Ready Player One and the video game Stray, the discussion we have raises critical questions about AI and its ability to teach humans empathy, ethics, and emotional intelligence. The podcast includes works from Rosi Braidotti as well as Xianbin Hong to help elaborate our claims. The conversation delves into the posthuman perspective and challenges listeners to consider whether these new forms of AI will mirror humanity or become something entirely different. Just when things get juicy, an alien calls in to share her galactic wisdom and subjects the podcast crew and its listeners to some mild Earth shaming. Informing them that decline and a looming conflict may be imminent if they continue to pursue the thought of controlling these AI creations. Blending science fiction, scholarship, and futurism, this podcast leaves listeners with a big question. What are the true ethics of AI and the human condition?
